Develops Gaggenau Home Appliances Group, produces and sells mounting devices for the domestic kitchen. The range of equipment includes ovens, steam ovens, microwave ovens, warming drawers, coffee machines, gas, induction and ceramic hobs, ventilation systems, refrigeration units, wine cabinets and dishwasher.

Since 1995, Gaggenau is a subsidiary of BSH Bosch and Siemens Home Appliances, Munich. At Gaggenau site in Baden -Württemberg, the origin of the brand, the Gaggenau training center is located with the presentation room, conference rooms and training kitchen. Gaggenau is represented in over 50 countries. Currently, worldwide more than 550 employees at the company. The turnover in 2007 was approximately 168 million euros. The products in the main factory are manufactured in Lipsheim, Germany.

History

The company's history began in 1683 with the establishment of a hammer and nail makers, the Gaggenau iron works, by Margrave Ludwig Wilhelm von Baden, near the present site. As Gaggenau was connected to the first section of the Murgtalbahn to the railway network, began in 1873 Michael Flürscheim the expansion of the iron works for the first major industrial corporations of the Murg with a wide range of products. 1879 joined the inventor and entrepreneur Theodor Bergmann joined the company, which was subsequently extended, inter alia, an enamel and an art foundry.
