Gagik Petrosyan

Gagik Petrosyan ( born March 10, 1973 in the city of Stepanakert ) is a politician and member of parliament of the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh.

Life and career

Gagik Petrosyan visited after completing his school education, the State University of Nagorno-Karabakh in Stepanakert, where he received his degree in 1994 as a teacher of history and English. From 1992 to 1999 he served in the Army of the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh and took part in combat operations in military conflict with Azerbaijan. He was temporarily deputy chief of staff, head of the Association for Physical Education and department leaders. After his discharge from the military, he founded the JSC " Razmik "

In 2000 he was elected to the National Council of the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh in the elections to the third National Assembly. Until 2005 he worked as Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Relations. Even after the election of the fourth National Assembly on 19 June 2005 he was a member of the national parliament and was elected Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Relations. On 6 October 2006, he was elected Chairman of the Committee on Production and production infrastructure.

In 2010, he appeared as a candidate of the party at home Free (Armenian Azat հայրենիք Hajreniq ) for election and was elected to the National Assembly again on May 23, 2010. Since 10 June 2010, he is Chairman of the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs. He is also a board member of the party " free home" and at the same time the Group Chairman. As a politician, he took part in international political conferences, discussions and seminars. He also published articles and publications on international security issues.

Gagik Petrosyan is married and has two children.
