Gala potato

Gala is an early, predominantly waxy table potato breeder Norika. She was elected in 2010 to the Thuringian potato of the year.

Tuber characteristics

The roughly oval tubers are suitable for the flat-lying eyes good for mechanical peeling. The tuber per shrub is relatively high, for good yields, however, the water supply must be ensured. In cooking, it is only a slight discoloration.

Planting

The Knoll nest of the Gala variety is slightly elevated; therefore, the seedlings should be placed approximately 2 cm deeper than usual. It should pre -germinated seedlings are used. A dressing against Rhizoctonia is recommended.
