Galeotto Franciotti della Rovere

Galeotto Franciotti della Rovere (* 1471 in Lucca, † September 11, 1507 in Rome ) was a Cardinal of the Catholic Church.

Galeottos parents were Luchina della Rovere, sister of Pope Julius II, and Gian Francesco Franciotti. Because of the importance of his mother's family, their descendants gave in addition to Franciotti the maternal surnames: Franciotti della Rovere.

The nephew of Bishop Bartholomew and Pope Julius II was raised in October 1503 Bishop of Lucca and on 6 December 1503, Cardinal Priest of St. Peter in Chains. Since 30 August 1504 Apostolic Administrator of the Archdiocese of Benevento, he was born on May 27, 1505 in addition Apostolic Administrator of Cremona. He also was on May 31, 1505 Vizecamerlengo and Apostolic Administrator of the diocese in August 1507 Vicenza. In addition, he was a benefice of Nonantola near Modena and S. Benigno di Fruttuaria in Turin.
