Galit Chait

Galit Chait ( Hebrew: גלית חייט, Galit Hayat, born January 29, 1975 in Kfar Saba ) is a former Israeli figure skater, which was launched in ice dancing.

It started from 1996 to 2006, together with Sergei Sakhnovsky in international competitions. Previously, her Eistanzpartner Maxim Sewostjanow with which they reached a sixth place finish at the U.S. Championships and a 28th place at the World Championships in 1994.

At the Olympic Games in 2002 and 2006 Galit Chait was flag bearer of the Israeli delegation. Among her greatest successes with Sergei Sakhnovsky the bronze medal at the World Championships was in 2002.

After a foot injury by Sergei Sakhnovsky the ice dance Chait / Sakhnovsky finished his career in 2007. Galit Chait now works as a trainer. Her most famous student in international competitive sport, the Israeli ice dancers Alexandra and Roman Zaretzki Zaretzki, but also the starting for Japan Japanese-American brother and sister Cathy Reed and Chris Reed has at times she trained.

Since 2008 Galit Chait is married to Francesco Moracci, an Italian police officer who was in Turin at the Olympic Games 2006 security personnel for the Israeli team.
