Gar County
Gar (Tibetan: sgar rdzong, Tibetan: སྒར་རྫོང་, Gar Dzong,噶尔 县; pinyin: Gá'ěr Xiàn ) is a district government in Ngari Prefecture of Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China. Its main town is the large village Sengge Zangbo. It lies on the River Gar Tsangpo River, a tributary of the Sengge Zangbo ( Indus ).
Administrative Divisions
At the community level, the circle of a greater community and four municipalities is composed. These are ( official spelling / Chinese):
- Greater community Sengge Zangbo (狮泉河 镇), the seat of county government;
- Community Günsa (昆莎 乡), with the historically significant village Garyarsa;
- Community Moincêr (门 士 乡);
- Community Zhaxigang (扎西 岗乡);
- Community zoco (左左 乡).
