Gard

The Gard [ ga ː ʀ ] is a French department of atomic number 30 It is in the south of the country in the Languedoc- Roussillon region and was named after the River Gard, a tributary of the Rhône.

Geography

The department of Gard borders the departments of Hérault, Lozère, Aveyron, Bouches -du -Rhône, Vaucluse, and Ardèche. In the south of the department, between Aigues- Mortes and the Little Rhone ( Petit Rhône ), the Petite Camargue.
