Garo Mafyan

Garo Mafyan ( born February 24, 1951 in Erenkoey, Kadıköy, Istanbul) is a Turkish musician and composer of Armenian descent.

Life

Mafyan grew up in Erenkoey in Istanbul Bağdat Avenue. His home district is so Kadıköy. He is married to Gülyüz Mafyan ( born Bayraktaroğlu ), and has a daughter named Damla.

Garo Mafyan is since 1980 active in the music business, his style is pop. He also plays piano. He is related to the founding member of the Society for the Turkish language, Agop Dilâçar Martayan, as well as with Levon Aşçiyan, the last palace Doctor of the Ottoman Empire.
