Gary Gillespie

Gary Gillespie ( born July 5, 1960 in Stirling ) is a former Scottish footballer.

Career

Gillespie began his football career in 1977 at Falkirk FC, ​​where he was captain at the age of 17. He holds the record as the youngest captain of world. After only one year and 22 games for Falkirk he moved to Coventry City in 1978. In Coventry City he played five years before it undertook in 1983 at the age of 23 years, the English club and record champions Liverpool FC. After eight years at Liverpool Gillespie moved in 1991 to his native Scotland to Glasgow Celtic. 1994 to 1997 he played for Coventry City, his last station, where he was already under contract from 1978 to 1983.
