Gary Powell

Gary Powell ( born November 11, 1969) is a British drummer. He is the drummer for The Libertines, Eddy Grant and until its dissolution at the 2008 Dirty Pretty Things. He also played with the New York Dolls in their 2004 reunion shows.

In 2001 he was a member of the Libertines, after he was presented by the Libertines manager Banny Poostchi the frontmen Carl Barat and Pete Doherty.

Powell is the younger brother of the coach of the English national football team of women, Hope Powell.
