Garzón is a village in Uruguay.
Geography
It is located in the area of Maldonado Department in its sector 7 in the Sierra de Garzón. Garzón, approximately 25 kilometers north-northeast inland from José Ignacio in the east of the department. The east at the site flowing past Arroyo Garzón where it forms the border with the Nachbardepartamento Rocha. South Garzón opens the Arroyo de Pereira in the Arroyo Garzón, north of Arroyo Campamento.
History
By Act No. 9587 (Ley 9587 ) was classified as Pueblo Garzón on 21 August 1936.
Infrastructure
The railway line Montevideo - La Paloma goes through the village. Through this Garzón is connected to San Carlos. A few kilometers to the south runs the Ruta 9
Population
Garzón had 2011 198 inhabitants, of which 96 are male and 102 female in the census.
