GÄ…sawa

Gąsawa ( German Gonsawa, 1939-1945: Gerlingen ) is a village and seat of the rural community in Poland. The place is located in the powiat Żniński the Kujawsko - Pomerania.

History

The first mention of today's Gąsawa dates from the year 1136. 1388 was the place of Władysław II Jagiello municipal law which should keep the place until 1934.

In the former Prussian province of Posen, the then city Gonsawa was until 1919 the administrative district of Bromberg, circle Znin.

1919, the town was part of the revived Poland and remained its member until the occupation in World War II by the German Wehrmacht on September 7, 1939. On 22 January 1945 the crew ended.
