Gašper Berlot
Gašper Berlot ( born August 6, 1990 in Titovo Velenje ) is a Slovenian Nordic combined.
Career
Berlot made his international debut at FIS races in 2005. At the Junior World Cup 2007 in Tarvisio, he reached with the team to tenth place. In the sprint, he came on the 22th and in the Gundersen on the 28th place. A year later, at the Junior World Championships he succeeded in Zakopane the 15th place in the Gundersen and the 21st place in the sprint. On 10 January 2009 he was in Val di Fiemme his debut in the World Cup Nordic Combined. Here he succeeded in the second World Cup race in 25th place with the profit of World Cup points. The 2008/09 season he finished on the 68th place in the overall standings. At the Junior World Championship 2009 in Štrbské Pleso he missed the fourth place in the Gundersen over 5 km only just a medal. In Gundersen 10 km, it was at the end of the 19th and with the team he reached the twelfth. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec, he could not reach the front ranks. At the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver in 2010, he reached from the normal as well as on the large hill in single 37th. The 2009/10 season he finished with two World Cup points on the 66th place in the overall World Cup standings.
After good results at the Summer Grand Prix 2010 Berlot also launched in the 2010/11 season with point gains in Kuusamo and Lillehammer. Following this, he found it difficult to link these results. Therefore, he joined in February 2011 in the Continental Cup. He stood by his second start in iron ore as third on the podium. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 2011 in Oslo, he could not place it in front of participants again. In the Summer Grand Prix 2011 he surprisingly managed a fourth place in Oberwiesenthal which he only narrowly missed the podium. He repeated this success a year later and even increase once again and was third in 2012. In the World Cup he fell short of world class and could be placed in any race in the top 20.
In the Nordic World Ski Championships 2013 in Val di Fiemme he reached the ranks of 40 and 44 in the individual disciplines and rank nine in the team competition. The season 2012/13 he finished ranked 65 in the World Cup overall standings.
