Gaudete ( Rejoice ) or Gaudete, Christ est natus ( Rejoice, Christ is born ) is a handed down from the 16th century Christmas carol. It sings of the incarnation of God in Jesus Christ. It is included in the 1582 published in Greifswald Finnish-Swedish hymnal Piae Cantiones.
