Gaudiya Vaishnavism

Gaudiya Vaishnavas in Sanskrit means " Bengali Vaishnavas " and refers to one of the lines of the four Vaishnavite schools within Hinduism. It is a Bengali native, missionary occurring manifestation of Vishnu piety ( Vishnu - bhakti ), which focuses on Krishna as the supreme incarnation of Vishnu or God, and attaches great importance to the Community chanting of mantras as the Hare Krishna Mantra.

Features

  • According to the belief of Gaudiya Vaishnava Krishna is the emitters of all avatars ( Avatari ). Vishnu was not to be seen as different from Krishna anyway, and it was therefore not wrong to describe him as the eighth avatar of Vishnu.
  • Krishna is considered as " the highest form of God" ( Sanskrit: puroshottama ), since it is the form of all transcendental love relationships. Other " forms its own" such as Narayana - Vishnu, manifesting only a part of Krishna's abundance of relationship options. Narayana - Vishnu still not regarded as different from Krishna, but is subordinate to him in the relationship possibilities.
  • Other forms of the Divine as Shiva, Brahma or Indra are called Devas, "God serving gods " or demigods and considered subordinate to Krishna.
  • Krishna's eternal lovers, Radha is regarded as the divine consort and as the embodiment of the highest divine love.
  • As the highest connection between God and the soul, the relationship, which resembles that of lover and beloved. The Gaudiya Vaishnava aims in general then, in the frame of mind of cowherdesses ( gopis ) of Vrindavana to place, which are the Divine Couple Radha- Krishna indulged in perfect love.

The teachings of the Gaudiya Vaishnava stand in tension with the Advaita Vedanta. Founder of the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition is Chaitanya who stands in the line of Brahma - Madhva - school. Significant representatives of Bhaktivinoda Thakura and Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Prabhupada, the teachings, for example, along with many other branches of the ISKCON appoints.
