Gavin DeGraw

Gavin DeGraw Shane ( born February 4, 1977 in South Fallsburg, New York) is an American rock singer.

Life

DeGraw grew up in the Catskill Mountains (South Fallsburg ) on with his two older siblings. His mother is a specialist in addiction and his father jailer, both processed Gavin in his first hit I Do not Want to Be ( " I do not have to be anyone other than a prison guard 's son I do not have to be anyone other than a specialist 's son ... ").

His brother Joey DeGraw is also a musician and as a guitarist and vocalist a secret in New York's underground music scene. In addition, he opened with Gavin 2007, a bar on New York City 's Lower East Side called The National Underground.

Gavin DeGraw is best known as his song I Do not Want to Be was used as the theme song of the American television series One Tree Hill and the single boarding as a result of the American singles chart at number 10. In 2005 his debut album Chariot also appeared in Europe. In May 2008, followed by his second studio album Gavin DeGraw.

His band, with whom he plays in both the United States and in Europe consists of: Casey Twist ( bass), Jimmi Wallace ( Hammond organ ), Joey "Coach" Hanna (drums) and Brian Dennis ( electric guitar ).

In addition Degraw in the series What I Like played a small role as himself

In 2012 he participated in the American version of Let's Dance, Dancing with the Stars, in part.
