Gbe languages
The Gbe languages / GbE / are a group of about 20 similar languages , which are in an area that extends from the eastern to the western Ghana Nigeria, distributed. The number of speakers of Gbe languages is between four and eight million. The most widely used is Ewe (3 million speakers in Ghana and Togo ), followed by Fon ( 1.7 million speakers mainly in Benin). The Gbe languages belong to the Kwa languages within the Niger - Congo languages and consist of five major dialect groups: Ewe, Fon, Adja, and gene Phla - phera.
