GD Estoril Praia

GD Estoril, Grupo Desportivo Estoril Praia officially, is a Portuguese sports club, best known for his activities in football. It was founded in 1939 and is in Estoril, a town west of Lisbon home. The club is 75 % owned by the Brazilian company Academia Traffic, a company that develops young soccer players in order to sell them later.

Football

The home ground of the association called Estádio António Coimbra da Mota. The club colors are yellow and blue. The greatest success was in the finals in the Portuguese Cup in 1944. The club played in the 2011/2012 season in the Liga de Honra and rose as First Place in the Primeira Liga. In the 2012/2013 season, the team finished as promoted the 5th Place and qualified so to participate in the UEFA Europa League 2013 / 14th
