Gebr Heller Maschinenfabrik GmbH is a manufacturer of milling machines, manufacturing systems and machines for processing crankshafts and camshafts. The company is headquartered Nürtingen in the Stuttgart region. Customers are mainly companies from the automotive industry, mechanical engineering, contract manufacturing, power engineering, tool and mold as well as the aviation and aerospace technology.

History

On 7 February 1894, the company " Hermann Heller trading and production of protected articles and watch tools " of the 25 -year-old Hermann Heller ( 1869-1931 ) was founded. The staff initially consisted of seven journeymen and three apprentices. It produced Vices, chimney pots, fans, and spiral staircases.

With the production of cold- sawing machines for sawing metals and the production of saw blade sharpening machines and tapping attachments was 1898, the entry into the engineering. The original company was on 5 January 1900 by the " Gebr Heller Maschinenfabrik GmbH ", founded by the brothers Ernst (1866-1936) and Hermann Heller, detached.

1940, the first milling machines were manufactured for crankshaft machining, today offers a segment in the Heller solutions for the automotive industry. In 1970 the establishment of plants in England and Brazil. It follows 1980, the United States work in Chicago. In 2000, ISO 9001, QS 9000, VDA 6.4 and TES done. In the same year, the production capacity of the plant in the U.S. and Heller doubled introduced a new internal cylindrical milling machine for crankshaft machining.

Followed in 2007 by the introduction of manufacturing systems ModuleLine and presentation of the H series on the machine tool trade fair EMO in Hannover. This was followed by the introduction of the 2009 Series F for simultaneous 5 -axis machining and 2010 the presentation of the Kegelradbearbeitung on 5 - axis machining centers MCH -C series and F. Heller has worldwide production sites, such as in Germany, England, Brazil, USA and in 2013 in China. Based in Nürtingen Heller Services GmbH is a 100% subsidiary, with a focus on services and training. Moreover, there are in all relevant Heller markets worldwide offices and representatives.

Heller is also in Asia, for example, by 2009 based technology center and the branch, founded in 2010 in Pune, India and has offices in Shanghai and Beijing. In early 2012 began the construction of a production facility in Changzhou in Jiangsu Province in the Shanghai area in order to create a local supply chain in China.

With about 2,200 employees Heller reached worldwide sales of approximately € 474 million. These employees include about 150 trainees. This corresponds to a trainee rate of over 7% for the location Nürtingen.
