Gedeon Guardiola Villaplana ( born October 1, 1984 in Petrer ) is a Spanish handball player.

Career

Gedeon Guardiola began in his Heimtatstadt the BM Petrer with the handball. From 2001 to 2005 he played at the BM Valencia, with which he participated in the 2003/04 season at the EHF Cup. He later went on to SD Teucro, Nature House La Rioja and SDC San Antonio. For the season 2012/ 13 of 1.99 meters large circle runners joined the German Bundesliga Rhein- Neckar Löwen, where he plays together with his twin brother Isaías Guardiola. In September 2013 he extended his contract by two years until 2016. With the lions, he became in 2013 EHF European Cup winner.

Guardiola belongs to the Spanish national squad with which he participated in the 2012 Olympics in London and won the world championship in 2013. At the European Championship 2014 in Denmark, he won bronze.
