Gedinne is a Belgian municipality in the province of Namur Dinant arrondissement.

Geography

The municipality is bordered by the east on the French territory tip, which extends along the Meuse far north. The nucleus Gedinne is located 350 meters above the sea in a shallow depression of the plateau of the Ardennes on the Houille, which flows into the Meuse at Givet, the northern French town on the river.

History

On September 10, 1986, a fighter aircraft of the type F - 16A of the Belgian Air Force in the district Bourseigne -Vieille crashes. The pilot Lieutenant Yvan Stoffijn is killed.
