Geert Reuten
Geert Reuten, with full name Antonius Gerardus Maria Thaddeus Reuten ( born April 6, 1946 in Heerlen ) is a Dutch politician and economist. Since 2007 he has been a deputy in the First Chamber of the States General of the Socialist Party. Geert Reuten teaches economics at the University of Amsterdam and is considered an expert on Karl Marx and Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel.
Reuten studied economics at the Erasmus University Rotterdam and at Birkbeck College, University of London. Reuten is also active in the network ATTAC.
Geert Reuten is the scientific advisory board of the journal Historical Materialism.
