Genealogy software

While genealogists collect their data mainly in written form in archives and libraries of all types (see Genealogical sources ), provide digitization projects and databases more ways of searching. Given the large number of original sources to be detected, it can, however, be long before the relevant research sources recorded and digitally accessible for example via the Internet. Legal Reasons, uncertainties and reservations of the owner of the original documents can hinder this process sometimes.

• In genealogy databases, including the existing GEDCOM files
