Geneviève Gambillon

Geneviève Gambillon (born 30 June 1951 Hudimesnil ) is a former French cyclist. She was twice World Champion and roads was the outstanding French cyclist on road and rail in the 1970s.

In 1969 Geneviéve Gambillon won their first three national titles, namely the French champion in the road race and the sprint and the individual pursuit on the track. Until 1978, followed by 13 more national titles in these disciplines.

This unusual series of Gambillon success was crowned by two world titles in the road race, in 1972 in the French Gap and 1974 in Montréal. In 1975, she became vice - world champion again.

In 1978, Geneviève Gambillon back from cycling and has since worked as a nurse in the hospital of Granville.
