Gennady Razin

Hennadij Wiktorowytsch Razin (Ukrainian Геннадій Вікторович Разін, Russian Геннадий Викторович Разин / Gennady Viktorovich Razin; born February 3, 1978 in Kharkiv, Ukrainian SSR ) is a Russian- Ukrainian hockey player, who since May 2013 when HK Donbass Donetsk from the Kontinental Hockey League under contract.

Career

Hennadij Razin began his career as a hockey player with the Kamloops Blazers, for by 1998 he was active from 1996 in the Western Hockey League. During this time he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1997 in the fifth round as the 122nd overall player of the Montreal Canadiens, for whom he never played, however. Instead of Ukrainians stood from 1998 to 2002 for their farm team of the American Hockey League, first in one season for the Fredericton Canadiens, and then for three years for the Quebec citadels, on the ice.

He then moved to the Russian Super League, where he Amur Khabarovsk aground for 2002 to 2004, before he played from 2004 to 2007 for Ak Bars Kazan. In addition, the defender played in the season 2004/ 05 a total of 23 games for Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk. With Ak Bars Kazan Rasin was 2006 Champion of Russia and won the 2007 IIHF European Champions Cup. Prior to the 2007/ 08 season he moved to HK Dynamo Moscow, with whom he won the 2008 Spengler Cup.

Between 2010 and 2013 he was the HC Traktor Chelyabinsk, with whom he won the 2012 Continental Cup as point- best team in the KHL main round. After the 2012/13 season, his contract ran out at the tractor HK and Razin returned to his home country to HK Donbass Donetsk.

Internationally

For Ukraine Razin took part in the World Championships in 2000 and 2004.
