Geo TV

Geo TV or GEO Television is a Pakistani television channel, which was founded in May 2002 and officially began transmission in October 2002.

The headquarters of the transmitter is located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Mir Khalil ur Rehman was the founder of the transmitter.

The name has to transfer its origin in the use of a satellite in geosynchronous orbit around the program. However, the word "Geo" in Urdu, the official language of Pakistan, "Next Life".

The popularity of Geo has increased rapidly among news viewers in Pakistan and beyond. Therefore, the number of channels has been increased from 2003 one to four:

• Geo News
• Geo English *
• Geo Super
• AAG TV
• Geo Tez
• Geo Kids *

Geo English and Geo Kids were planned channels, but could not be put into practice for various reasons.
