Geoffrey Bayldon

Geoffrey Bayldon ( born January 7, 1924 in Leeds, Yorkshire ) is a British actor.

Life

The son of a tailor received after a military service in the Royal Air Force his education in the years 1947-1949 with Laurence Olivier at the Old Vic Theatre School in Bristol. His first stage appearance was in 1949 in Bayldon Tough at the Top, the last musical by Charles Blake Cochran. From Olivier infected with the "Shakespeare - virus," Bayldon excelled in the Shakespeare Memorial Theatre in about Stratford- upon- Avon, in the Citizen 's Theatre in Glasgow and Birmingham Repertory Theatre, especially in Shakespeare plays. In addition to his theater work, he played in numerous television series, as in The Avengers and melon ( The Avengers ), Simon Templar ( The Saint ) or secret mission for John Drake ( Danger Man ) and some theater productions. He played for example in the James Bond spoof Casino Royale (1967 ) the role of the Champion's Q. 1956 Bayldon played in Paris the Caesar in Caesar and Cleopatra.

International Bayldon was known by starring in the 26 -part series Catweazle Youth, which aired in 1970 and 1971 by the English London Weekend Television ( LWT ). He was barely recognizable by extremely thick make-up. His ability to comic grimaces was though it would not be affected.

Bayldon also appeared in the supporting role of the Organon in the episode The Creature from the Pit of the science fiction series Doctor Who, and was also heard as a speaker in two radio plays to Doctor Who: Auld Mortality and A Storm of Angels.

Under the direction of former Beatle Ringo Starr Bayldon appeared in 1972 in the rock film Born to Boogie on as a waiter.

Bayldon also worked as a voice actor.
