Geologisches Museum München

The Geological Museum in Munich Munich is the public part of the Bavarian State Collection of General and Applied Geology. The museum displays over 450 m², the formation of the Earth. Priorities are the formation of the Alps and the formation of fossil fuels. The national collection is a Science of five research institutions in the State Collections in Bavaria.

The museum is located in the building of the Institute of General and Applied Geology, Ludwig- Maximilians- University of Munich in Luis Street 37 outside the building is no reference to the museum. It is open to Fridays, and on some Sundays with free admission on Mondays.
