Georg Altner

Ernst Georg Altner ( born December 4, 1901 in Waldheim, † April 12, 1945 in Dortmund) was a member of parliament of the NSDAP, SS brigade leader and from 1942 to 1945 chief of police in Dortmund.

Life

Altners father was a prison sergeant. Georg Altner visited in 1908 the primary school and the Real Progymnasium in Waldheim, which he left in 1917 with the completion of secondary school leaving certificate. Between 1917 and 1919 he served an apprenticeship in a machine shop and simultaneously attended the laboratory in Mittweida, but he left without a degree. 1919 and 1920 he worked as a fitter and turner in Waldheim, from 1921 to 1933 then as a foreman in civil engineering and a site office in Halle ( Saale). Altner awarded the Iron Cross Second Class and the Wound Badge in Black.
