Georg Dietrich Leyding

Georg Dietrich Leyding, also Leiding or Leyding ( born February 23, 1664 stooping; † May 10, 1710 in Braunschweig ) was a German composer and representatives of the North German organ school.

Life

Leyding went in 1679 for five years after Braunschweig in Jacob Bölsche into teaching. He then traveled to Hamburg and Lübeck, to study with Johann Adam Reincken and Dieterich Buxtehude on. Soon after, he returned to Brunswick, to replace the diseased Bölsche. After his death he was organist at the Church of St. Ulrich and St. Blaise, and later at St. Magnus. Shortly took Leyding at Johann Theile in Wolfenbüttel instruction in composition.
