George Bowers (filmmaker)
George Bowers ( born July 6, 1944 in New York City; † August 18, 2012 in Los Angeles, California ) was an American editor and director.
Life
After a three -year stint in the army he worked for a company of Hugh A. Robertson, through which he came into contact with the cutting of footage. Since 1971 he worked as an independent editor and was involved until 2008 in more than 25 productions. In 1976 he made his debut as a director we staged a result of the series Vegetable Soup. In 1980 he turned to the horror film The hearse his first feature film, up to and including 1985 was followed by three more.
In 1969 he married. The marriage produced two children.
Bowers died as a result of complications from heart surgery.
