George Colman the Elder
George Colman the Elder ( * April 1732 in Florence; baptized on 18 April 1732 in Florence, † August 14 1794 in London ) was an English writer. He is the father of the writer George Colman the Younger.
His most successful work, premiered on February 12, 1761 at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane London, the comedy is the jealous wife in five acts.
