George Cornet

George Thomson Cornet ( born July 15, 1877 in Inverness, Scotland, † November 22, 1952 in Liverpool ) was a British water polo player.

Cornet was in the British club Inverness Swim Club is active, the British were able to win the water polo championships in 1909 and reached the finals of four other tournaments. Between 1897 and 1912 he played 17 times for the national team. At the Olympic Games 1908 in London and the Games in Stockholm in 1912 he won the gold medal in each case with the British National Team.

Cornet was privately working for a railway company and was active in his native Inverness in many other sports. He played football and cricket and also practiced sports of athletics from.
