George Delacourt-Smith, Baron Delacourt-Smith

Charles George Percy Delacourt -Smith, Baron Delacourt -Smith known as George Delacourt -Smith PC, JP ( born April 25, 1917 † August 2, 1972 ) was a British politician.

Career

Delacourt -Smith was a member of the House of Commons from 1945 to 1950. He represented the electoral district of Colchester there. From 1969 to 1970 he served as Minister of State for Technology.

In 1969 he was appointed a member of the Privy Council. besides, he was also justice of the peace.

On October 13, 1967 he was raised to life peer.

He was married to Margaret Delacourt -Smith, Baroness Delacourt -Smith of Alteryn.
