George Lowe (mountaineer)

Wallace George Lowe, CNZM, OBE ( born January 15, 1924 in Hastings, New Zealand, † March 20, 2013 in Ripley, Derbyshire, England) was a New Zealand mountaineer, documentary filmmaker and author. He was member of the expedition of the first successful ascent of Mount Everest in 1953 along with Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay.
