George Mbwando

George Stanley Mbwando ( born October 20, 1975) is a football player from Zimbabwe, who played for Lech Poznan and Alemannia Aachen.

Career

1996 Mbwando left his native Zimbabwe and got the Polish first division club Lech Poznan his first professional contract. In 1997 he came to Germany and played five years for various clubs in the then third-tier regional leagues which may be referred to as a semi-professional league. In 2002 he went as a regular player with VfB Luebeck in the second Bundesliga and moved to league rivals Alemannia Aachen. There he celebrated his greatest successes in its second station in professional football. In 2003 he was with the Alemannia Herbstmeister and missed only on the last day the targeted promotion to the Bundesliga. Finally, he was still in his last professional game in the starting eleven Alemannias Cup final in 2004 against the newly crowned German champions Werder Bremen. In the 75th minute ended Mbwandos time at Alemannia Aachen as well as in German professional football "after a dubious sending-off ." Aachen lost with 2:3.

For the following season, 2004/ 05 changed Mbwando at that division side SSV Jahn Regensburg, where he was in midfield and in defense. After his descent into the fourth-rate at the time Bayern League he signed for FC Ingolstadt 04 Since the 2013/2014 season, he has worked as a player-coach at FC Böhmfeld A- Klassist Danube / Isar.

National

Mbwando belonged from 2001 to 2006 for the national team of Zimbabwe, where he graduated from eleven games and scored a goal.
