George McAfee

George Anderson McAfee (nickname: " One Play"; born March 13, 1918 in Corbin, Kentucky, USA, † March 4, 2009 in Durham, North Carolina ) was an American football player. He played in the National Football League ( NFL) for the Chicago Bears.

Playing career

College career

George McAfee visited in Ironton, Ohio high school. After leaving school he studied from 1937 to 1939 at Duke University, where he played primarily on the position of a Halfback Football. 1937 and 1939 he won with his team the Conference Championship. In 1938 he moved with a team in the Rose Bowl. There, however, they lost to the University of Southern California with 7:3. McAfee, the next American football also played baseball and track and field operation, in 1939 elected to the All- American.

Professional career

McAfee was drafted in 1940 by the Chicago Bears in the first round in second place.
