George Saunders

George Saunders ( born December 2, 1958 in Amarillo, Texas) is an American writer and geophysicists.

The New Yorker called him in 2000 one of the best writers under 40 Saunders was four times awarded the National Magazine Award for his fictional short stories. 1994 The 400 - Pound CEO and 1996 for Bounty, each appeared in Harper 's Magazine. In 2000 he received the award for the short story The Barber 's Unhappiness, appeared in The New Yorker. 2004 was followed by the award for The Red Bow, published in the men's magazine Esquire.

Saunders is a professor of English at Syracuse University.
