George VI of Georgia

Giorgi VI. the Small ( Mcire ) (* 1308, † 1314) was of 1310 / 11-1314 King of Georgia.

Life

After the death Wachtangs III. 1308 negotiated the Mongols for two years with the rebellious King David VIII and offered him to use his son as King Giorgi in Tbilisi. David went out and finally one sent in 1310 his two year old son to the Mongols, who crowned him king of Kartli. For the minor Giorgi VI. led his eponymous uncle the regency.

1311 after the death of his father David VIII Eastern Georgia was completely united under one king again. As Giorgi died, his uncle Giorgi V. took over again the government.
