George Will

George F. Will ( born May 4, 1941 in Champaign, Illinois) is an American journalist and author.

Life

Will was teaching at Trinity College, Oxford and Princeton University. He taught at Michigan State University and the University of Toronto political philosophy. Will also worked in the United States Senate. On January 1, 1974, he wrote his first column for the Washington Post. Two years later he wrote simultaneously for Newsweek. Overall, he won 16 awards, including the Pulitzer Prize in 1977 and the Silurian Award for editorial writing in 1980. 1985, he was even named by the Washington Journalism Review to the best author. Overall, he was already writing for over 460 newspapers on foreign and domestic issues. In addition, he has worked as a commentator for the ABC.
