Georges André

Georges André ( born July 26, 1876 in Paris, † March 19, 1945 in Versailles) was a French winter sports ( bobsleigh and curling ) and Olympian of 1924.

Together with André Berg, Henri Aldebert and Jean Marquis de Suarez d' Aulan drove Gerards André in France Bob I 4th place at the I Olympic Winter Games in 1924 in Chamonix.

As a curling player André occupied with the French team at the same games 3rd place In 2006, the IOC recognized the curling competitions as official part of the Winter Games and posthumously awarded him the bronze medal. Until then, said curling tournament as a demonstration event.
