Georges Descrières

Georges Descrières, actually Georges Bergé, ( born April 15, 1930 in Bordeaux, † October 19, 2013 in Cannes) was a French actor.

Descrières who had adopted his mother 's maiden name, was a member of the Comédie - Française. The German public theater size was known as Athos in Bernard Borderies film adaptation of the Three Musketeers. After trips to Hollywood, so next Audrey Hepburn in Stanley Donen Two for the Road, he became famous in the 1970s as Arsène Lupin in the eponymous TV series. His last major roles are 1987 Alexandre Hoffmann, Claude Jade's murderous father in L' homme qui n'était pas là, and 1989 of Pierre -Henri alongside Hugh Grant in Champagne Charlie.

Descrières was awarded the Officer's Cross of the Legion of Honour and the Grand Officier of the Ordre national du Mérite. In 2013 he succumbed to cancer.
