Georges Hébert

Georges Hébert (* April 27, 1875 in Paris; † August 2, 1957 in Tourgéville ) was a French naval officer. He is known as the developer of the Méthode Naturelle.

Life

When he was stationed in 1902 in the small town of St. Pierre in Martinique, he organized the escape from a volcanic eruption - which killed 26,000 people - and was able to save 700 people. This event played a major role in the development of later Méthode Naturelle, because it confirmed his basic idea that it is very important athletic skills with helpfulness, selflessness and bravery to agree.

Primary for the development of this he was honored in 1955 by the French government for his lifetime achievements.

Méthode Naturelle

The Méthode Naturelle, also called Hébertisme, is a technology developed by Hébert kind of physical and mental training, in which one's body is trained in many disciplines in nature. Hébert was inspired to this method on a trip to Africa, where he was amazed by the physical condition of living in the natural man.

The volcanic eruption played an important role in the development of Hébertisme, because it confirmed his idea that it is extremely important to agree athletic skills with helpfulness, selflessness and bravery. After Hébert was back in France again, he defined the basic statutes of the Méthode Naturelle.
