Georgia Southern University
The Georgia Southern University is a public university in Statesboro in the U.S. state of Georgia. With 19,000 students ( Fall Semester 2009) it is the largest university in the south of Georgia. It was founded in 1906 and is today, as a Carnegie Doctoral / Research University, part of the University System of Georgia.
The sports teams of the Georgia Southern are the Eagles. The university is a member of the Sun Belt Conference since 2014.
