Georgios Kostikos

Georgios Kostikos (Greek Γιώργος Κωστίκος, born April 26, 1958 in Katerini, Greece ) is a former Greek football player and currently coach of the Greek second division club Niki Volou. (As of 1 December 2006)

The first football station the attacker was Pierikos Katerini, before moving in 1978 to PAOK Salonika for a then-record sum of 8,000,000 GDRs. Together with Salonika Kostikos was in the season 1984/85 Greek masters.

After another season with PAOK, he joined the 1986/87 season for Premier League rivals Olympiakos Piraeus, where he again was a Greek Champion 1987 and the same year won the Greek Super Cup. Kostikos joined the 1988/89 season to Diagoras of Rhodes and also ended his active career here.

Georgios Kostikos denied from 1978 to 1986 46 caps for the Greek Nationalmannschaftund, scoring 3 goals.

After his playing career Kostikos began to work as a football coach. He worked among others with PAE Levadiakos and as coach of the Greek U-20 national team. In 2003, Kostikos the post of sporting director at his former club PAOK Salonika on 17 September 2005 and was also interim coach of the first team. After four weeks in this office he was on 13 October 2005 head coach and held this post until 20 February 2006. Currently Kostikos has worked as manager of Greek second division club Niki Volou.
