Georgiy Zhzhonov

Georgi Stepanovich Schschonow (Russian Георгий Степанович Жжёнов, scientific transliteration Georgy Stepanovic Žžënov; * 9 Märzjul / March 22 1915greg in Petrograd. . † December 8, 2005 in Moscow) was a Russian actor.

Georgi Schschonow began his film career in 1931 in the Alexander Makarenko adaptation ( в Путёвка жизнь ) The way in life. His career was interrupted twice for political reasons. The first time he was charged with false accusations - he should have been a U.S. spy - sent for five years in a gulag. In 1949 he was exiled again for six years in Siberia. Since the mid-1950s he was able to continue his career and played until the end of the 1980s in over 50 film roles, many of which also in Germany - were shown - especially in the GDR.
