Gérard Daucourt

Gérard Antoine Léopold Daucourt ( born April 29, 1941 in Délémont ) is Emeritus Bishop of Nanterre.

Life

Gérard Antoine Léopold Daucourt received on 26 June 1966, the ordination.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 1 February 1991 to the Coadjutor Bishop of Troyes. The Archbishop of Besancon, Lucien Charles Gilbert Daloz, donated to him on 14 April of the same year the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were André Pierre Louis Marie Fauchet, Bishop of Troyes, and Pierre François Marie Joseph Duprey MAFR, secretary of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity.

After the retirement of André Pierre Louis Marie Fauchet he followed him on April 4, 1992 after the Bishop of Troyes. On 2 July 1998 he was appointed Bishop of Orléans. On 18 June 2002 he was appointed Bishop of Nanterre and introduced into the office on 22 September of the same year.

On November 14, 2013 Pope Francis took his early resignation for health reasons.
