Geographical Location

Geratskirchen lies in the region Landshut in a small side valley of the Rott and bordered to the south of Upper Bavaria. The small village Geratskirchen located about 13 km southwest of Eggenfelden, 30 km southeast of Vilsbiburg, 18 km north-east of Mühldorf and 16 km north Altöttings.

History

In 1347 Elizabeth of Geratskirchen Rudiger married Maroltinger. The Maroltinger or Moroltinger had the Hofmark Geratskirchen about 300 years.
