Gerd Dörich

Gerd Dörich ( born February 14, 1968 in Sindelfingen ) is a retired German racing cyclist.

Gerd Dörich was a professional racing car driver 1990 until 2008. During this time he played 168 Six Days, and is thus at the eleventh place of eternal rankings. Multiple occupied Dörich podiums, such as the Six Days of Stuttgart and Berlin. As the " life of the party " Dörich was especially popular among the public.

2002 Dörich occupied at UEC - Derny Championship in Amsterdam ranked third behind the leadership of pacemaker Sami Mooij. In 1994 he became German champion in a two - team approach ( with Markus Hess ) and 2004 one more time ( with Frank Kowatschitsch ). 2004, as he won the Six Days of Stuttgart, with Andreas Kappes and Andreas Beikirch. At the age of 40 years Gerd Dörich resigned from active cycling.
