Gerd Schädlich
Gerd Harmful ( born December 30, 1952 in Rodewisch ) is a football coach and former German football player.
Career
As a player
Gerd Harmful began in 1960 at TSG Rodewisch playing football and joined as a teenager in 1968 to FC Karl- Marx-Stadt. From the 1971/72 season he was part of the squad of the second team of the Karl- Marx-Stadt, who played in the DDR -Liga (season D). On March 18, 1972 were Harmful his debut in the league after he was off the bench in the 0-2 defeat of the " Blue Sky " at the BFC Dynamo in 78 minutes. For the FC Karl- Marx-Stadt Harmful graduated from 1972-1976 a total of 25 league games and scored one goal. His last competitive game he played on June 19, 1976 at the 4-4 draw against the BSG Stahl Riesa on Matchday 5 of the DFV -Toto - special round 1975/76, before forcing him a lengthy injury to his active career at the age of 25 years ahead of schedule to finish.
As a coach
Then Harmful worked as a qualified sports teacher and later as DTSB coach. In addition, he coached several smaller clubs until he 1990/91 FSV Zwickau took over in the winter break of the season. In April 2013 Harmful extended his contract for another year until 2014, but resigned on 6 October 2013 following a 0-4 point game defeat against Preußen Münster with immediate effect.
